See What Happened in the Conversation and Choose What to Work On

You remember asking a client a useful question. On the recording, you hear yourself answer it before the client finishes. That moment gives you a specific place to work: allow the answer to develop and use it to decide what to ask next. Rapport Score helps you find exchanges like this through conversation measurements, timestamped evidence, and coaching feedback.

Review the overview, follow a finding back to the recording, and choose a skill to practice. You can use the analysis for your own development or bring a focused example into a coaching session.

Read your score alongside the seven Rapport Dimensions

Your analysis includes a composite Rapport Score and seven dimensions: Responsiveness, Active Listening, Mirroring, Curiosity, Trust Building, Emotional Acknowledgment, and Engagement. The overview summarizes defined aspects of communication in the recorded exchange. Use it to find an area relevant to what you're working on, then examine the supporting detail.

If Active Listening catches your attention, look at the questions, responses, and moments connected to the finding. You might identify a follow-up question that helped or an answer that was cut short. A concrete example makes it easier to choose a practice task and explain why it matters.

Understand the scope of the result

The score describes what the system measured in the recording. Your character, motives, worth, personality, and psychological state are outside that measurement's scope. Conversation context also matters: a first meeting, a coaching session, and a difficult negotiation call for different contributions.

Bring your knowledge of the situation into the review. Consider what you wanted to accomplish, how the exchange developed, and what the result helps you examine. The Trust Building dimension concerns measured communication behaviors associated with trust building; it doesn't establish how much another person trusts you.

Follow the finding back to a moment

Timestamped coaching moments let you return to specific exchanges in the recording. Listen to the question and the response, then consider what happened next. You may find a concern that remained open, an explanation that helped, or a response that arrived before the other person had finished.

Coaching feedback includes suggested alternative wording and a roleplay prompt. Use the suggestion to consider another response, then adapt it to your situation and voice. You have an exchange to discuss with a coach and a specific skill to take into practice.

Know how measurement and explanation fit together

Rapport Score's measurement engine analyzes defined behaviors and patterns before AI helps interpret the available evidence. The same audio produces identical measurement results. That gives you a consistent starting point for examining the exchange.

The explanation helps you consider what a finding may mean for your goal. Check it against the recording and the circumstances you know. You can accept it, question it, or bring additional context into a discussion with your coach. Your decision about what to practice includes both the evidence and what you want to accomplish.

Ask Coach about the evidence

Ask Coach lets you explore supported conversation measurements and patterns through plain-language questions. You might ask where you interrupted, how you followed a client's answer, or what happened after a concern was raised. Answers include supporting citations and links to relevant moments so you can return to the source.

Use that review to prepare for coaching or clarify feedback you're working through independently. If a result needs more explanation, ask about it and examine the supporting exchanges. You'll have a clearer basis for deciding which part deserves your attention.

Choose a priority and rehearse it

Start with the goal that matters now. An important conversation tomorrow may call for practice making a clear request. A longer coaching engagement may focus on a pattern across several conversations. If you're applying a skill from training, you can examine how it appeared in a relevant exchange.

Choose one behavior to work on, use a lesson to explore the approach, and rehearse with Ask Alex. Live voice roleplay gives you a counterpart who responds and feedback you can use in another attempt. You can then carry the practice into the next real conversation.

Review progress in later recordings

Rapport Score analyzes subsequent conversations and tracks trends against your personal baselines. Return to the skill you've practiced and look for how it appeared. You might hear clearer follow-up questions or notice that a response becomes harder to use when the stakes rise. Those examples help you choose where to focus next.

For a coach, this supports progress reviews grounded in the client's actual conversations. For a training organization, it provides material for discussing application after the program and deciding what needs reinforcement. Explain the findings alongside the circumstances, then connect your recommendation to the client's goal.
